Lesson 3: The Big Picture
In this learners will begin to understand how important an audience is when when considering the creation of a digital image. They will look at how, colour, words and pictures affect the viewer.

Learning Objectives:
Understand how color, words and pictures can influence an audience
Be able to give examples
Explain how they affect the audience and why

Learning Outcomes:
  • Take the color test
  • Compare words with quotes and how they change the audience's perception
  • Be able to explain what impact or affect it has on an audience

Success Criteria:
  1. Engage in discussion
  2. Argue a point for or against
  3. Be able to explain how colour impacts
  4. Be able to explain how colour and one other area impact.
  5. Be able to explain how all three areas impact on a audience.

You will begin to develop your Photo Editing skills to create a comedy related graphic

Learning Objectives:
Demonstrate how to use the Photo Editing software
Ensure that the image is suitable for the purpose

Learning Outcomes:
  • Create a comedy picture
  • Enter the competition
  • Peer asses each others work
Success Criteria:
  1. Create an image
  2. Create a 'funny' image
  3. Use tools to ensure that the quality of the product is high
  4. Include suitable text, graphics and colour to add impact to the graphic
